Zyzzyva the completely free tool that allows for word study searches outside of Windows. Searching through text to see if different letters are found in words is also possible. Those within North America and around the globe use OWL2 with CSW as special word lists.

As a whole, the tool searches for words that have some form of game play and finds acceptable words as well. During Scrabble tournaments, the tool is used as a judgment tool. Word Study was created by Michael Thelen. Since it is not likely to be a common word to be Scrabbled, Michael used the term Zyzzyva for the program. In addition, it is the last word in the dictionary. Michael said he chose that name because he was to have the "last word," Michael decided to make the tool free so that everyone could enjoy the tool.

As well as extensive assistance files, the program is easy to install for any user. Numerous Scrabble players find it useful and refer to it as a tool that enhances their gaming. After running into any problem using the app, users simply need to enter their email address and make their way to the mailing list of Zyzzyva.
