Many clients of both SSH and Telnet use PuTTY. In addition to its Raw/TCP and Rlogin capabilities, it is also able to provide additional connectivity. Also included is a built-in terminal emulation function called xterm, which provides advanced users with an effective environment.

PuTTY Portable includes all the same options, but contains all the settings in the same place as the program itself, so there will be no unnecessary entries in the system registry or on the hard disk. Alternatively, you can run the program from a flash drive by carrying it on a flash drive.

While PuTTY's flexibility comes from its reliance on national and international encryption laws, its ability to act within the legal borders of the country is unique.

The launch of PuTTY is preceded by a powerful configuration panel, which lets you configure your session and connect to the Internet. In addition to selecting the preferred type of connection (Raw, Telnet, Rlogin, SSH or Serial), configures for a current connection and configuration of authorization methods. In addition to "line discipline" and remote printer management options, there are some general set ups available in the terminal section. Also, you can adjust keyboard controls, notify recipients, and set up certain other features. A window can be modified in appearance, behavior, and color.

There is the option to Configure low in the Connection area.A TCP link at the level essization details. This way, you can then use any of the computers you have installed on and take control of their settings. When using PuTTY, it is very easy to switch between different types of machines while carrying encryption algorithms. The following products are available; Arcfour, DES, Blowfish, 3DES, and AES.

The software can connect to web servers and other Internet service providers, including telnet. In a similar fashion to the full-fledged version of PuTTY, you now only need a memory stick in order to run the program. Due to the portable version of PuTTY, working within an office environment that is locked down has been significantly simplified.
