PstPassword is a special utility that recovers passwords from PST Outlook files. It works with all major platforms: Outlook 97, Outlook 2000, Outlook XP, Outlook 2003, and Outlook 2007. You do not need an installed Outlook client to retrieve passwords, you only need a PST file.
Passwords from PST files can be easily cracked because their encryption algorithm is not reliable. This step is accomplished by using CRC32, a secure algorithm for storing passwords in files; however, not all of these passwords will go through the algorithm, just because some of it's peculiarities. PstPassword displays the found passwords in the grid of the main window of the program, and for each file three passwords are provided. Whether the password you specify is the same as the password variant you specify may differ slightly from whether none of the variant will match the original password. The only thing that can be said for sure is that any of the three passwords will fit into your PST file.
In order to run the program it is enough just to unpack the archive, installation is not required. To run Russification on the computer, you need the file with the program in your folder. After the program has started up, you'll need to find all the PST files in Documents and Settings/User Name/Local Settings/Application Data/Microsoft/Outlook If you want to browse another file, just drag it into the main menu.
