The PsExec utility is designed to administer systems running Windows NT, 2000, XP and Server 2003 operating systems and is part of the PSTools suite of tools.

In theory, remote computer management programs like Telnet and PC Anywhere are efficient, but there is one issue. It is necessary to put a client part on the remote machines that you wish to access if you are planning on using them.

PsExec is a lighter version of the familiar Telnet tool. Any process enabled by Remotely Run commands will be controlled in this program since the process is run remotely from any location in the world. In addition, the client part does not require to be installed manually. For instance, tools such as IpConfig can be remotely run in interactive mode, which assists in determining the status of the remote machine locally. Installing the program seems elementary - but it must be done in advance. The only file need to be copied to the folder containing files executable to be used on the PC is the PsExec executable.

Whenever I'm out of town, I dial up PS exec. When there's a problem with my business computers, he can work to get the solution to it. My life is changing with the help of the PS exec. You can access the server from the console without needing to install a client on your computers so long as you have PS exec installed on them. If you're away for a long time, you may fix your computer while away and continue your business. As long as the PS exec isn't running your business, it is fine to trust your employees to use your computer.

The PsExec tool can handle everything that a traditional computer management application could handle, but more compact. Think of Tellnet, minus its clutter. This could take place without having to install a client component on your client machines. By default, PsExec does bypass that requirement. PSTools provides tools like PsExec in its suite.
