PeerGuardian is software developed primarily for improving the privacy and security of users. With this software, all users must be able to access peer-to-peer files by connecting to them via a peer to peer connection in order to prevent the authorization of such data from being allowed by another user.

Using PeerGuardian, users can block the IP addresses that are potentially dangerous and suspicious based on the profiles they create, limiting the likelihood of gaining access to their private networks to those IP addresses further. IP addresses blacklisted through the system are blocked via this program. I find that this method makes the experience much more comfortable, since it's very simple to use. Besides blocking custom ranges, everything in the user preferences is easily modified. It is also possible to specify custom ranges if need be. It is definitely worth giving it a try.
