Online localization depends on the format of your online help. Sisulizer support HTML, CHM (HTML Help) and WebHelp files.
WebHelp uses the same files as HTML Help. The difference is that in HTML Help all files (.htm, .html, .hhk, .hhc and image files) are compressed and stored into single help file: CHM file. In WebHelp all help files are stored in a single directory and its sub directories.
In order to localize a WebHelp project you have to add three or four sources to the project. They are:
Source | Type | Descriptions |
---|---|---|
*.htm* | HTML | This localizes add the topic files. |
<index>.hhk | Online Help | This localizes the index file. |
<contents>.hhc | Online Help | This localizes the table of contents file. |
<glossary>.glo | Online Help | This localizes the glossary file. |
Start creating project by adding HTML resource. Click Create New to start Project Wizard. Choose Localize all similar files in a directory and click Next. Browse the root directory of your WebHelp project and set Select the file type to *.htm. Complete the wizard and Sisulizer add HTML files to the project.
Add index, contents and glossary files to the project. Choose Project | Add source to start Project Wizard again. Browse the same directory and set the file type to Sample.*. When Project Wizard ask about the format of the file choose Online Help file.
Here is the project tree of a sample Sisulizer project after you have completed the above steps.
In the above example we only needed to add two sources: a HTML (*.html) and an Online Help (Sample.*) source. This is because HHK, HHC and GLO files all have the same name and we could use Sample.* wild card. If the name were different you would have to add each file as a separate source to the Sisulizer project.
