Click Add to add a new spell checker dictionary. This adds a new spell checker configuration into the list. Before clicking Add button make sure that you have copied the dictionary file into any directory. You can add following dictionary files:

File Extension Description
.dic Hunspell dictionary. For every .dic file there is an additional .aff file that is also needed. You can download dictionary files for free.
.oxt OpenOffice dictionary. This is a zip file that contains .dic and .aff files for Hunspell. You can download dictionary files for free.

Some languages uses different spellings in different countries. For example American English and United Kingdom English differ in spelling. If the list contains more that one configuration of a language the topmost is used first. For example if you have two English spell checkers: English (US) and English (GB) and you have a project that has neutral English target language (without country part) Sisulizer will use the English spell checker that is first in the list.

Default custom dictionary location

Sisulizer's spell checking can save custom dictionary data in the following ways:

Value Description
Save dictionary to the project file Custom dictionary is always project depend and the actual words in the custom dictionary are saved inside Sisulizer project file. Because custom words are embedded to the project file there is no need to backup the custom dictionary file or send custom dictionary file to translators. Sisulizer will automatically exchange also custom dictionary together with the project data.
This is the recommended way to save custom dictionary.
Save dictionary to a standalone file Custom dictionary is a standalone file. Each spell checker configuration can contain one and only one custom dictionary. Use this if you want to share the same custom dictionary between several Sisulizer projects or other applications using the same spell checker engine.
