Use this sheet to set the import options for translated project.
Use this groups to specify how the target item of the imported item is found. Possible options are:
Value | Description |
---|---|
By value | Compare original values when locating a target row. The item is imported to all rows where the original value equals to the original value of the import item. |
By context | Compare context values when locating a target row. The item is imported to the row where the context value equals to the context value of the import item. This can be used only if the import file contains context data (e.g. Sisulizer project file). |
By context first then by value | Tries first to import by context. If no match then import by value. |
You can also specify additional import options. Possible values are:
Value | Description |
---|---|
Import also those items where the translated value equals to the original value | If checked Sisulizer imports the item even if its translated value equals to the original value. If unchecked Sisulizer does not import item if its translated value equals to the original value. |
Import also those items that are empty | If checked Sisulizer imports the value even if the import value is empty. If unchecked also empty values are not imported. If this options is turn on and if the import item is empty and if the overwrite options is turned on this will remove the existing translation. |
Import only if context and original value match | If checked imports an item only if the context and the original value of the imported item match the item in the project. For example the context of the item is MyProject.exe.MainForm.BrowseButton and the current original value id "Browse" and the imported original value is "Browse file ", Sisulizer does not import the value. In unchecked the item is imported if there is a context match even if the original value is different than the original value in the project. |
Import only strings | If checked only string values are imported. Layout, color, image, etc. data is ignored. |
If Import only strings is not visible it means that Sisulizer can only import strings values from the import source. No other data types such as integer or color values are imported.
Specifies if Sisulizer overwrites the current value with the imported one. Possible options are:
Value | Description |
---|---|
Never | Never overwrite the current value. |
Always | Always overwrite the current value. |
If the import status is equal or higher than the current status | Overwrite if the translation status of imported item is equal or greater than the status in project. This option is enabled when importing Sisulizer projects. |
If the import status is higher than the current status | Overwrites if the translation status of imported item is greater than the status in project. This option is enabled when importing Sisulizer projects. |
If Confirm overwrite is checked Sisulizer shows a confirmation dialog before trying to overwrite the current value. If unchecked no confirmation dialog is shown.
Import file might contain status information (e.g. Sisulizer project file). In that case you can specify how to import translation statuses.
Value | Description |
---|---|
No | Ignore translation status (i.e. do not import it). |
Yes | Import translation status if it is greater than the current one. If you want to import also lower statuses check Even if status is lower check box. |
Set status to | Set the translation status of imported items to the value specified in the right side combo box. |
Note! If you are importing from other source as Sisulizer project file the following group box is shown instead.
Set the translation status of imported items to the value specified in the right side combo box.
Some import files contains additional information that can also be imported. They are:
Value | Description |
---|---|
Import maximum string length value | If checked Sisulizer imports the maximum length value of the string. |
Import Read Only status | If checked Sisulizer imports the Read Only state. This state spacifies that string should not be translated. |
Value | Description |
---|---|
Do not change | Do not change marked flag of any translation. |
Clear if translation is different | Marked flag of the translation is cleared if the imported translation is different than the current one. |
Clear if translation is different, set if empty or same, | Marked flag of the translation is cleared if the imported translation is different than the current one. If imported translation is same or empty the the marked flag it is set. |
Import file might contain row comment (e.g. notes about the original value) or translation comments (e.g. notes about the translation). In that case you can specify how to import comments. Possible values are:
Value | Description |
---|---|
Do not import | Do not import comments. |
Import if there is no comment at the moment | Import comment only if there is no comment value in the row at the moment. |
Overwrite the current value | Import and replace the current comment values. |
You can set different values for row and translation comments.
Specifies characters that are ignored when finding match for an imported value. Possible options are:
Value | Description |
---|---|
Ignore special characters | If checked Sisulizer ignores special characters such as period and hot key (&) when importing data. Checking this will make import process slower but on the other side it can import more strings. |
White spaces | If checked Sisulizer ignores white spaces such as space, tab and new line when importing data. Checking this will make import process of large file much slower but on the other side it can import more strings. |
Character case | If checked Sisulizer ignores character case (upper case vs. lower case) when importing data. Checking this will make import process of large file much slower but on the other side it can import more strings. |
