mp3splt is a neat little program that helps users split multiple audio formats from their files. The program allows a user to take something as simple as a video and rip the audio from it without needing to decode or convert the file. mp3splt can do a lot more than rip audio files and comes loaded with features that I didn't know I needed until I came across them. Specifically, the features that made me stand out most were as follows.

Features:

  • No decoding required
  • Recursive multiple files split.
  • Audacity labels file support
  • Split by a fixed time length
  • Split in equal time tracks
  • Split concatenated mp3 files
  • Specify output directory for split files
  • ID3v1 & ID3v2 tags support
  • Free to use

There isn't much to say about mp3splt other than it does what it's supposed to. In my experience, audio files can be converted or deciphered without even needing to be made into a mp3 file. The most frequently I find a song on a webpage, download and view it in the background while listening to it. Using mp3splt as my video and audio are able to be taken without any technical effects. It even helps because I can specify which point at which I would like to take in the audio. I'm not the only one who found this wonderful song on a popular website. Yet the video's creator put a ridiculous intro that makes you want to have it repeatedly playing. With mp3splt I can skip over that annoying introduction so I can listen to the one I want. It also supports ed into mp3, Ogg, and FLAC files as well, so it's very versatile and adaptable no matter what format you are dealing with. A very simple and straightforward installation can be achieved. Since the file size is small, you will be up and running in under one minute on each device. Whenever an audio content provider would like to get their content from the web, please consider signing up for this.

Put mp3 files in separate folders, do not decode or manipulate them.
