Miranda NG is an instant messenger program that appeared as a branch of the popular but slowly developing Miranda IM messenger. There is an active course to pursue on further development of the program. 'NG' is a term used to describe a new generation.

New Miranda includes many more extensions than its predecessor, in addition to various settings, both on the website and in the program's settings, that you can configure. Moreover, several protocols will be supported: AIM, Facebook, ICQ, IRC, Jabber, MSN, Yahoo and GG cannot be accessed at the time of writing. The result is that one communication application can be used instead of several.
