HP Wireless Assistant is a connection management application created by Hewlett Packard for Windows operating systems. In theory this program is a good idea. However, there seem to be a few issues at times. Although the program is user friendly, it some what over complicates things which in turn can cause issues with your operating systems. Good news though if you don't like the program it is easily removed.

Bluetooth Connections. Something many people wanted before, but simply didn't have access to was connecting to your device via Bluetooth. The time for waiting is over. If you don't have WiFi available to you, but you have devices that can connect via Bluetooth, you can use HP Connection Manager to assist you in connecting your devices so that you can continue to use all your tools while you're away from the Internet.

When I want to manage my wifi at home I downloaded the HP Wireless Assistant for Windows.  It makes life so much easier.  It's free too.  It can monitor my bluetooth and lan connections.  It displays status for all of my devices.  So cool.  Everything is one place.
