Import your translations to Sisulizer
The best way to import your existing translations is to read them
from your localized binary files. Just follow these simple steps:
- Create localized files using your old localization
tool.
- Click File > New to create a new Sisulizer
project.
- If your old project contains several files, click
Project > Add Source to add additional source files
or databases.
- Right-click the column header of the language
that you want to import to, and choose Import to open
the Import Wizard.
- Browse to the localized file name and complete
the wizard.
New: If you are using Multilizer™ 6.x you can simply use File | Open in Sisulizer to import your .mpr file.
Background Info

New Microsoft glossary file available Sometimes,
but only occasionally, the best things in life are free as
with the new Microsoft® glossary. This .csv file comes with 9000 computer terms
with translations for up to 45 languages! This file is
replacing the old Microsoft glossaries. Sisulizer can already import the new Microsoft
glossary format. Of course, the old format is also
supported, in case you are still using it.
Here is how to use it with Sisulizer:
- Download
the glossary and unzip it
- Open Sisulizer
- Select Tools | Translation Engines from the menu
- Select Documents
- Press the right plus button
and
follow the wizard
You can now use the glossary like any regular translation memory in Sisulizer.

If you are switching to Sisulizer, you will be happy to see how
many formats are supported to import translations.
Sisulizer can import from:
- Any database table with language pairs
- Borland® Translation Repository files
- Multilizer™ project files (.mpr)
- Multilizer™ dictionary files (.mld)
- New and old Microsoft Glossaries (.csv)
- Text files (.txt)
- TMX files (.tmx)
- PO/POT files
- XLIFF (.xlf - coming soon)
Where applicable, you can import by context, by original value,
or even using both methods. You can import only string or all items.
When the format provides the pertinent information, you can import
statuses and comments. Sisulizer has very flexible import filters.
You can try to import your translations to Sisulizer right now
for free. The process is absolutely safe because Sisulizer does not change
your source files in any way.
Everything you import and translate with the evaluation version
can be used with the licensed version.
