You asked for more free machine translation. Here comes Microsoft Translator. Sisulizer Enterprise comes now with a fully integrated interface to Microsoft Translator. This free machine translation service allows automatic translation between 12 languages. Not as impressive as Google Translate's language list but Microsoft's Translator has some advantages in handling of e.g. html tags.

The results of Microsoft Translator are similar to Google Translate (some say it is even a little bit better in some languages) and can be used for pre-translation or pseudo-translation jobs.

Sisulizer is now available in Hungarian The latest Sisulizer build adds Hungarian to the list of languages. With this Sisulizer is now available in 15 languages!

Sisulizer 2.0.280 is a free upgrade for all our V2008 customers. If you already have installed Sisulizer and want to see the new languages you have to use the change (instead of freshen) option in the Sisulizer installer. Sisulizer visually localizes Qt applications. Sisulizer localizes Qt string resources (.ts files) since long. The latest Sisulizer build introduces visual localization to Qt's UI resources (.ui files).

Qt is a cross platform library and development IDE that makes it possible to write code for Windows, Mac, Linux and several mobile platforms include Window Mobile and Symbian S60. Nokia bought Trolltech, the makers of Qt, a half year ago and changed its name to Qt Software. The Sisulizer team expects that Qt will be the major platform in Nokia's new phones.

Lingsoft is specialized on proofing tools for the nordic languages Danish, Finnish, Norwegian (Bokmål and Nynorsk) and Swedish. Besides spell-checking for all of these Lingsoft provides also a grammar check (except for Nynorsk).

Block Exclude

Sisulizer 1.6.16 adds block exclude feature. Sometimes small things can make a difference. An example for that is the new block exclude feature of Sisulizer 1.6.16. It allows excluding larger parts of your source code from localization. So far Sisulizer had 'exclude' and 'include' tags at line level. The new feature makes exclusion of complete code blocks much more convenient. We implemented the block exclude - like many other features before - on a customer request posted in our support forum.

.NET Custom Resources

Sisulizer now supports emedded .NET custom resources. With the newest build Sisulizer adds a new great feature to .NET software localization. .NET allows developers to embed their own data files into .NET resources.
For example developers can add XML, HTML and picture files - to name only a few common types - to their resources. This allows to ship single binaries having all its data embedded. Less hassle with the installation and accidentally deleted data files.
Sisulizer allows to localize this data for project as well as for binary localization.

nCore's nRes Files

Better support for embedded devices. With the newest build Sisulizer Enterprise supports the language file format of nCore's nRes Resource Manager. nRes Resource Manager is a software component for managing localisable and customisable data in embedded devices. It enables splitting the executable binary code and various resources into separate files.
With Sisulizer you can translate these files and use all the features of a state-of-the-art software localization tool like re-using translations from translations memory or validate your localizations. Sisulizer Enterprise now allows developers to group nRes files together with HTML, XML, and all the other supported formats of Sisulizer in one single project and share translations between the project parts.

New En->Fi machine translation interface added. The new interface makes it possible to automatically localize software from English to Finnish. All you need is to purchase a subscription to the Seram Enterprise Pack product from Sunda, add the new translation engine "Seram machine translator" in Sisulizer Enterprise, and enter the username and password you got from Sunda. Access 2007 database support

Build 1.6.9 allows localization of Microsoft Access 2007 databases. All you need to localize .accdb files are the Microsoft Data Connectivity Components and the newest Sisulizer build. In case you do not have this Microsoft driver you can download it from here. It also gets installed with Office 2007. If you already have Office 2007 installed you do not have to download an install it.
After the driver is installed the new database format can also be used to store translation memories. And it can be the source of translation imports.

Visual Report Localization

Sisulizer from 1.6.8 can localize reports. In order to do that it localizes the report template data and the database that the report uses. Together this produces multilingual reports feature where the same report can be produced in several languages. Sisulizer 1.6.8 supports the following report tools:

ReportBuilder (VCL)

Other embeeded report components can be easily mapped to one of the three above.

Alternative Original Language

Better support for relay translations Some of our customers have the problem that the original of their software was developed in French, German, Italian, etc. while most translators offer translation services only from and to English. It is much harder to find a translator for e.g. Polish to Japanese than for English to Japanese. So if software is developed in e.g. German it has first to be translated in English before your favorite English-to-Japanese translator can do his job. This is called relay translation.
In Sisulizer relay translation has been possible from version 1 because more than two language columns at the same time can be displayed. The newest build of Sisulizer handles the relay translation problem even better. Users of Sisulizer can now choose an alternative original language, e.g. English. Features like Sisulizer's strong filters can make use of the alternative original and make relay translations comfortable, easy and secure. [Download now]

Firebird RDBMS

Sisulizer Enterprise 1.6.5 supports Firebird databases. Sisulizer Enterprise 1.6.5 can localize databases located on the Firebird RDBMS. From now Sisulizer Enterprise users can not only localize Firebird databases but also store their translation memories in Firebird tables. Firebird is a relational database offering many ANSI SQL standard features that runs on Linux, Windows, and a variety of UNIX platforms. Especially for the translation memory storage Firebird has the advantage that it can have strings up to a length of up to 748 chars. Sisulizer now supports .NET and VCL components better than ever. Third party compnents are sometimes very hard to localize. Some third party components hide text strings in proprietary binary data and undocumented structures. For this data a little help from the third party tool vendors is needed. Sisulizer's new support program for third party components solves the problem.
